Sedu Hairstyle and Iron Tips

After hours of research in hair salons, beauty magazines, the internet and many other locations we have come up with a list of the 10 most important hairstyling tips to keep in mind when using a Sedu iron

Tip #1: Manage the heat of the iron wisely. Over heating your hair may cause severe damage. Use the paper tip: Before applying the Sedu flat iron on your hair, take a small paper misted with water and put it between the flat iron plates. If the paper gets dry but not scorched, then the heat is properly set.

Tip #2: Do not use the Sedu flat iron on wet hair. Even if your hair is slightly damp you can cause severe damage to your hair and the treatment will not be effective. Your hair might get scorched and have permanent damage.

Tip #3 : I've found that using a flat paddle brush while blow drying my hair straight saves time and also makes your hair straighter, even before using my Sedu.

Tip #4: I do the layers framing my face first with my Sedu because those tend to curl up the most. After I do those, I section my hair and do the rest starting at the nape of my neck. I try not to put too much product in my hair because it will get greasy & I want my style to last.

Tip #5 : I've found that working with smaller amounts of hair seems to work the best. That way all the hair gets straightened evenly, and you reduce the amount of heat transactions on your hair.

Tip #6: I let my hair air-dry for about 20 minutes, then I flip my head upside down and blow dry my hair while combing it with my fingers. The finger combing gets the curl out and adds some lift at the roots. Finally, I just hit the ends with a ceramic flat iron, and it looks great.

Tip #7: Beware when ironing your hair with a clothes iron. If you do not cover your hair and you leave the iron on it for too long, your hair will singe (trust me, it's happened to me!). The singed hair cannot be cut out or covered up...It's shocking! The hair will not curl and it feels even worse than it looks. Instead, use the sedu hair iron.

Tip #8: Make sure your hair is clean prior to using Sedu flat iron. Actually, we advise you to use a shampoo and conditioner suitable to your hair formation before using Sedu flat iron. Then, the best thing will be applying a leave-in conditioning spray for the hair which will protect the hair for an extended period of time.

Tip #9: After I blow dry my hair pin straight, I like to use my Sedu hair iron for a smooth and sleeker look. Also, I use a sculpting gel that makes it shiny.

Tip #10 : Only use the Sedu hair iron on clean hair. Dirt or grease left in the hair will be cooked by the heat of the sedu hair iron and the damage made is inevitable.
